Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope you had a great week-end! I certainly did have a great week-end! On Sunday, my husband, Marc, Bella and myself walked the Terry Fox 5km. It was awesome to see every one walking for a wonderful cause. There were plenty of families and friends walking together in unity.


We are starting our third week. The students are more and more comfortable with the routines. Just a friendly reminder to verify your child's agenda every night and sign it.

Grade 5:
Today`s homework: On the cue card, they need to describe themselves. For example: gentil/le, drôle, talentueux/euse

This week we are learning/reviewing the following verbs: 'Faire' et 'Aller'.

Grade 5: In Arts, we have been studying the artist: 'Kandinsky'. Kadinski did abstract art. His paintings are made up of lot of shapes. Here are some of the student's work. They are absolutely beautiful!!!! More to come... They represented 'Color Study, Squares with Concentric Circles'. Bravo les amis(es)! C'est super beau!

In sciences, we have been studying: 'The Respiratory System'. Here is a short clip. Enjoy!

Grade 5 & 6: In music, we have learned the song: 'L'arbre est dans ses feuilles'. Here is the link from YouTube. Enjoy! The students were saying that it was a 'catchy' song.

Grade 6: Your child brought in 2 metal spoons to accompany the song. I recorded the students sing, however, I am unable to input. So sorry! They had fun and loved it! Beautiful voices!

Starting this Wednesday, Sept. 17th, the Grade 6 students will have an opportunity to be exposed to Yoga-Meditation. Mrs. Tello will be teaching the class. Your child will need a yoga mat for this activity.

The classes will be held on the following dates:

-Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014.
-Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014.
-Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014.
